Davis Elementary students eagerly watched the Masked Reader video
today! Oh what fun our kiddos had trying to guess the identity of the 5 disguised readers. The event is a celebration of the end of our Seusstastic Read-a-thon which promotes literacy, engagement and has sparked excitement across the elementary. The identities of the Masked Readers will be revealed at a Read-a-thon Rally which will be held on Friday, March 28th!

6th grade student, Ayden Weaver enjoys reading books written by Oklahoma author Bill Wallace. Ayden mentioned to Mrs. Tuley, our librarian, how he would enjoy writing to the author. Unfortunately, Bill Wallace passed away back in 2012, but his wife, Carol, who co-authored several of their books is still alive. Mrs. Tuley helped Ayden write a letter and they mailed it to her home in Chickasha, OK. Ayden got a nice surprise when Carol Wallace wrote him back last week! #CreatingLifelongReaders
In the inaugural season of OKSE iRacing, Davis is leading the way. Around 20 racers in the season, Davis has 3 in the top 10! Caleb Horton, 8th Grader, is in 9th place. Levi Pullen, Senior, is in 3rd place, but leading the pack of Wolves is 8th grader, Braysen Baldwin. Congrats to all 3 of them and Good Luck as they finish out the season!
