Davis Public Schools is a rural school located in Murray County. The district has 3 sites, 851 Students, 76 Certified Employees, and 41 Support Staff with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement in all aspects for our district. We value our strong relationships with Southern Oklahoma Technology Center, Murray State College, and Take Two Alternative Education Academy. On-site concurrent enrollment opportunities are offered here as well.
Our students and faculty enjoy a small student/teacher ratio. We have a rich history of academic and athletic success with extraordinary community support and additional support from the Davis Public School’s Foundation. Within the last 5 years, all sites improved their A-F grade by one letter grade and we take pride in our visible score improvements and opportunities on the ACT with 2- ACT Certified Instructors on site. We also take pride in a developed partnership with Native American tribes in Oklahoma to create a Native American History class to enrich our student body. Every year thousands of dollars in scholarships are awarded to Davis students.
Within the last 5 years we have implemented or completed many projects within the district. These include; updating/adopting all board policies, construction of a new high school, a new track, an elementary library/media center and transportation upgrades. We strive for continuous improvement in safety & security with upgrades across campus with infrastructure and access projects. A large-scale roofing project was also completed during the 22-23 school year. The last two bond issues passed with overwhelming community support.
